Overview

In order to assess a learning objective, you must associate it with at least one learning activity.  Activities include Discussion board posts, Assignment submissions, Grades, Quizzes, Surveys, and Manual Assessments.  When a student meets a set threshold on the associated activity/activities, the Competencies tool can check off the learning objective as met.  In this way, competency achievement can be automatically tracked using the activities that already exist in your courses.

Step 1.  Navigate to the activity that you would like to associate with a learning objective. Within the activity, click on the Objectives tab.
