Edit Content Details

Overview

After you create Content modules and topics, you may want to edit their details. These detail edits can include changing titles, descriptions, availability dates, and restrictions. The instructions on this page provide the steps to make these changes, both for individual modules and topics and in bulk.


Instructions

Edit module & topic titles

Module titles

Step 1. Click the Module from Table of Contents.

Step 2. Click on the title and make your changes.

Step 3. Press Enter or click outside the title field to save your changes.

Topic titles

Step 1. Locate the topic on the Table of Contents page, or click on its module from the Table of Contents panel.

Step 2. Click Edit Properties In-place from the topic drop down menu to make the title editable.

Step 3. Click on the topic title and make your changes.

Step 4. Press Enter on your keyboard or click outside the title field to save your changes.

Edit dates & restrictions 

Module dates & restrictions

Click the Module name from the Table of Contents menu.
Click Add dates and restrictions… (if date already exists click directly on the date to edit).
Modify any of the following:

  • To add dates for the module, click Add due date…, Add start date…, and/or Add end date….
  • To edit dates for the module, click directly on the existing date and/or time fields.
  • To delete a date for the module, click the X icon.
  • Browse for or Create and Attach a Release Condition. (Click here for more information about Release Conditions).

Click Update.

Topic dates & restrictions

Locate the topic on the Table of Contents page, or click on its module from the Table of Contents panel.
Do one of the following:

  • Click Edit Properties In-place from the topic’s drop down menu. (Example A)
  • Click directly on the topic name(Example B)

Click Add dates and restrictions… (if date already exists click directly on the date to edit).
Do any of the following:

  • To add dates for the topic, click Add due date…, Add start date…, and/or Add end date….
  • To edit dates for the topic, click directly on the existing date and/or time fields.
  • To delete a date for the topic, click a date’s X icon.

Click Update.

Example B

Bulk edit

On the Table of Contents page, click Bulk Edit.

Make your changes to titles, descriptions, and restrictions by clicking on the appropriate link. You can also delete multiple topics in Bulk Edit mode by clicking the Trash Can icon beside each topic title you want to delete.

Click Update where appropriate and Done Editing when finished.
